I was just speaking with someone who is interested in trying out a “live” VDP game, and I told him that the weekly games would probably start up again in the fall. Maybe a bit presumptuous, but what’s the general feeling out there? I just read Andy’s June thread about preferable game night, should we start a new one looking forward to everyone’s availability come September?
We need some sort of ‘availability’ guide to find out if there is a common time when at least 4 are regularly available. I think we found this spring that if its going to be a weeknight game, it needs to start by 7PMCST or so, and not go too late. I would be up for trying Thurs nights again, provided we start around 7ish…otherwise weekend game? Maybe even this Sat or Sun we could do a morning game? Would be good to get VDP going again!
One thing that will also help with VDP play is to get the version everyone should use posted in the Downloads section. Kevan, I know you are very busy with the recent wedding, so whenever you can get to it – please attempt to upload the files you would want everyone to use. Your permissions should be set to allow the upload, but I might have to ‘publish’ the files after the upload.

I would be willing to give the live game another shot, depending on the night/time. Friday nights are probably the best for me, preferably after 8 or 9 PM EST.
I’ve been shying away from the live games because the couple times I’ve logged on to play, I ended up sitting around for a long time waiting to play, ended up being up way too late on a work night.
I agree a weekend game would work a bit better…although for me Saturday morning is more promising on a weekly basis. I could do an occasional Friday night too.
How about we try to get regular games going in September, the week after your Labor Day in the USA? Unless there’s a way to put up a poll, I’ll ask that everyone state their preference for play date/time. That week looks pretty open for me right now, any evening except the Wednesday would work for me, as would weekend mornings.
I’ll try to set aside a day to have the module updated by then.
Once we’ve decided on a date, is there an easy way to send an invite out to DawnPatrol.org members?
Yes, we can send an invite to the whole user list once we know the date.
For me, it will need to be a Tuesday or a Thursday evening. Monday is also a possibility, but not preferred.
Didn’t see this until today, but I’ll try to be online next Thursday and will keep my Thursday evenings set aside starting in September.
I am going to do likewise.
