Want a copy of VDP map for real-life gaming?

In preparation for an upcoming convention, I made a version of the 44″ x 44″ VDP big map (expanded and modified original DP map) that I could print out in 8″x10″ sections. If any of you are interested in printing it out, I’ve put up all the individual sections for download via MediaFire. It requires a bit of trimming and taping, but I was able to print and put together the full map in half an hour on the weekend.

For putting it together, use the following pattern:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16
21, 22, 23, 24, 25
31, 32, 33, 34, 35
41, 42, 43, 44, 45
The sheets for the first two rows are laid out vertically. The last three rows are laid out horizontally.

Just as a follow-up, when I ran the game at the aforementioned gaming convention, I lucked into having a player who subsequently offered to plot the 44″x44″ map for me. I had him do it up in two 22″x44″ sections that I could mount on separate boards for transport. I’m very satisfied with the end product, can’t wait to try it out.

Finally got around to taking photos as I was getting things packed up for the trek to GenCon.

Another pic. I made it in two sections, each mounted on coroplast. It will fit easily in my car for transport. One half is a bit rough – I was gluing the map to the coroplast outside because I was using spray glue and some grit got between the glue and board. Total size is 4’x4′, or 44×44 squares, plus border. There’s a letter/number grid for plotting hidden units.
