We had a couple interesting games tonight. The first was three FE-2b’s trying to survive against three Alb DIII’s. The Fee’s had a height advantage and we’re hoping to just get in a couple quick shots and get away, but one of them was drawn into a fight with all three Huns before finally escaping with a dead observer.
In the second was saw three Alb DIII’s again, but this time they were pitted against three French SPAD VII (150)’s. The Frenchman had the upper hand on turn one and got some hits, but nothing serious. On turn two one of the SPADs (me) attacked one of the Jerry planes, but paid a price by being filled full of lead by his comrades. I dove toward my lines but then I lost connection with the VASSAL server and try as I might, couldn’t re-establish contact.
All in all a fun couple of games though. I look forward to playing again soon.
It’s a bummer that Vassal has been a bit flaky as of late… but I guess we cannot complain too much about a free service…

Was it only me who lost connectivity or did it happen to everyone? If it was only me, how did the game end?

Sorry I missed last night’s missions. I was busy picking up an RC plane from a friend of mine that I fly with. After that, I had limo duty again picking up my kids.
It sounds like you guys had fun while it lasted. Vassal has been disconnecting quite a bit lately. But, as Andy said, it is a free service.
I look forward to flying with you guys again real soon.

Scott – I sure hope the R/C plane you picked up yesterday isn’t an FE-2. Fee’s have a natural aversion to anything with crosses on their wings. We saw this phenomenon last night.
Kirk – No it does not, lol. I did, however, build a R/C combat plane and I put German crosses on it. I have yet to try it out in combat to see how it does.
