We had a GREAT turn out this evening!!!! We had a record eight players in the first game of the evening. I have never played online with so many people at one time. It was a blast! Be sure to join us every Sunday and Monday evening at 7pm CST. See you there!

Actually, I ran the first few e-mail games back when we started them all those years ago. My first DP games were back when they had the web games (the ones similar to todays e-mail games) about ten years ago. A few of us tried to get realtime online DP going on a number of occasions years back, but there just wasn’t enough interest to consistently get four players. Hopefully now we’re past that hurdle and will be able to play consistently.

As for last Monday, it was great! I’m still a bit rusty after a layoff of a few years, but I’m looking forward to playing as often as possible.

    Kirk,

Welcome back! We are on every Sunday and Monday evening so if your available, come and play! I am probably the newest member and I just can’t get enough of it. I have been playing for almost 2 1/2 years and I look forward to playing this for a long time to come.

If you are rusty, I sure wouldn’t know it. I thought you did a great job! I know I have a lot to learn yet (still green). I look forward to playing online with you soon! Take care!

BTW, what happened in the second game?

In the first game it was a quad of Sopwith Camels (110’s) vs. a mixed bag of Germans (DrI, Hannover, Pfalz DXII, Roland DVI). the Brits got the upper hand early and after a couple lucky shots the Hannover was shot down (the observer parachuted to safety) and the the Roland headed for home. After another turn or two the Pfalz bolted, leaving the Tripe to take on four opponents. It found an escape route and also headed for home, ending the game after only a few turns.

I believe the second game went much like the first. I am looking back on my log sheets. The second game was Spad XIII’s against Fokker D VII”s. I was doubled up on immediately in the first turn and shot down by Carl. Pilot dead. After that, the game is a blur. I don’t remember much of it as I was busy tending ot my dead. That was revenge for having shot down the Hannover in the first game.
