About 30 years ago I was part of a 4-on-4 FITS Society team tournment.
The concept was simple: fly with the same flight of players mission after mission, emphasizing the role of the wingman.
Then, I believe most teams of four arrived together. Now, we could be flexible enough to allow individuals or smaller teams to form teams at the event.
If the concept is appealing to you, please respond and list any attractions or amenities near such an event that would support travel to such event (I’m thinking about spouses/family members that might travel along but not play).
