Carl, myself, John B, Mike H, Dino and his Son Matthew got together for some games Sat. morning.
Game #1 was SPAD 7s (Mike H, myself & Matthew) fending off a German photo recon mission with Carl in a DFW, John in a Pfalz DIII and Dino in a Pfalz DXII. The Allies won initiative, but were much lower so had to climb to the fight. After a brief scuffle the Allies realized they were outgunned & ran for the clouds.
Game #2 saw Mike, Dino and Matthew in Camel 110s vs Carl, John & Myself in Alb DVs & a DIII. Turn one Dino & Andrew ran away from eachother, and the battle was drawn towards the Germans. The rest of the fight was the Albs running for their lives from the Camels- Matthew was relentless in his pursuit, firing at all three ALbs, and eventually putting over 20 points of damage into Carl, who eventually had to turn off his engine and glide to a landing. Congratulations to Matthew on his first ever kill in the game of FITS!
Game #3 was Mike & Carl in Dr.1s vs. John & myself in Camel 110s – THE classic battle! The Germans had an Allied balloon to attack, so the first few turns were the dance down to the balloon. Andrew gave up an enticing shot to Mike, who ignored Carls dive on the balloon and stayed up with the Camels. Carl got lucky and surprised the balloon, blowing it up with a strong burst. The next few turns saw Mike getting hammered by the Brits, but eventually he won initiative and was able to climb away…
That game three sounded like a fun one
