MemberI am coming in sometime friday. I will have one other Society/Freikorps member, Dan Delmarico. We call him Del. Del has played DP on and off with us for many years. Recently he has decided to take the game more seriously and is actually keeping track of his pilots. (Del would show up, play a couple games ,fill out a pilot record and give it to someone else to hold on to until we saw him again in the next 1-3 yrs. The records were either lost, thrown away becuase Del didn’t put his name on it ect…I found another one a few weeks ago…) Not to dis him in anyway, he is a great guy and in the last couple months has upped his game. He is looking forward to the mini con.
Del is famous for coming out of an actual hour long nap while playing Boot Hill (He was the sheriff and he plotted his character to take a nap on the porch infront of the jail) to declare an op-shot on a bad guy walking through his targeted hex. The best part was the bad guy was on his way to kill the sheriff beause ‘… he was just sittin’ on his ass doin’ nuttin’… while the rest of us were shooting up the town and robbin’ the bank that he was supposed to rob. Needless to say , the sheriff gunned him down.Heck, that happenned 25-30 yrs ago, but obviously we’ve not forgotten.Dan

MemberOther than spelling my name wrong, everything else is fairly true. It should be added that my pilots have usually ended up quickly being someone else’s Kills!! Am personally responsible for a lot of those Aces out there in K-zoo land.

MemberYes, I seem to be stuck on that “a” Delmerico…

ParticipantTo All,
I just want to say what a GREAT time I had this weekend. Thank you to George and his wife for putting on a great event. Of course, thanks to Mike Carr for designing such a wonderful game. You are all a great group of guys and I felt honored to be able to fly with you. But best of all, I can call you my friends!!!
I made many mistakes. Al, my sincere apologies to you my friend and that will never happen again (Al knows of what I speak). I also made some poor judgement calls and lost pilots due to the fact that I was tired and mostly inexperienced.
My congratulations to all who won awards for their flying skills and I can’t wait until the next time we can get together.

MemberI nominated Nef Bullets for a medal for his tenacity during the big game. Problem is, he left before he was told he could roll for a DFC. SO , if he reads this, get a witness and make the roll. His Camel pilot hit all four of his targets with his Cooper bombs, dropping from 50′-100′ while all hell was going on around him. Others might not be impressed, but I was.

MemberHey all!
I echo Scott’s sentiments that it was a great time, and I was glad to see everyone again.
Dan, yes that was a fun mission. Thanks to you and Mike for running it so smoothly! I wish I did stay the extra day. Perhaps Mike can witness my roll for a medal the next time we all get a live Vassal game going. Thanks for considering me!
I’m looking forward to the next major event, Gen Con. Also, I invite anyone to join the group of us who gets together on (mostly) Sunday and Monday nights for some live Vassal Dawn Patrol gaming!
Cheers,
