ParticipantI noticed in the rules it has the 3-12th missions as one bonus (double ones, twos and threes hit pilot + all normal abilities)
But the veyr next level also has 12 missions (and 5 kills and it says either one qualifies) for :up one table , extra tailing card etc.
So on the 12th mission which one is it? I happned to be running a game where several [pilots hit their 12th mission the previous game, so which one do I use?

ParticipantIt should read like this:
Pilots ON their 3-12th missions (double ones, twos and threes hit pilot + all normal abilities)
Pilots WITH their 12th mission logged get the experienced pilot additional bonuses.
So a pilot that has logged 11 missions and is flying his 12th does not get the experienced pilot bonuses.
A pilot that has logged 12 missions and is flying his 13th does get the experienced bonuses.
A good question that this brings up though…. if a pilot has 4 kills, and gets his 5th confirmed on the 1st turn of a mission, does he get to fly as an ace the rest of that game? Or does he have to ‘log’ the kill like the mission first?

ParticipantMy pilot got his 5th kill confirmed on Saturday but I flew the rest of the mission as I started.
It just made sense to do it that way.

ParticipantYour ace/experienced bonuses for a mission are determined at the start of a mission and never change during the mission, no matter how many kills you get. You may shoot someone down on turn one, but a pilot doesn’t get credit for a kill until he returns to the aerodrome, files his combat report, and requests credit. This is apparent when the cause is an oil leak that freezes the engine two turns later. The shooter could have escaped in a cloud bank before the kill happens but he still gets credit, at the end of the mission.
