At the game I ran last month at our gaming club, we happened to be flying Fokker DVII’s, the same game I happen to be flying in the Play By E-mail game. Can I use the same pilot for both games as long as I don’t give him credit for either game’s result in the other game?
He is/was a 0/0 pilot, so it won’t matter much either way, but I was just wondering what the actual rule was.
I’m not sure that anyone’s ever discussed a formal rule.
Personally, I try to avoid overlap, as it’s slightly awkward to be flying a pilot who has already died in another game. That being said, I’ve done it accidentally at least once that I can think of.

No.
If you look back at old issues of the Aerodrome (like numbered < 50) You'll see reports of play-by-mail games (snail mail). These games could take years to complete, and while the pilot was flying in one you could not use him in a f-t-f game. The web games John Noddings used to run play-by-email, would take a month or two, or three, to complete and the same rule applied there: if he's flying in one game he's excluded from all other games until that one completes.
