MemberAre there PDF versions of the current rules and charts available?
The reason I’m asking is I would like to introduce my 4 game design classes to FiTS/DP as a playtest/analysis project. Otherwise I have to use Canvas Eagles/Blue Max.

ParticipantDue to copyright infringement issues the full set of rules are not availabele in PDF at this time, but there are some charts available. If you are interested in specific charts to supplement the rules please let me know!

InactiveAndy,
We should put him in contact with Mike Carr though and see if Mike would want to provide info directly to him. This sounds like a great chance to add more interest in the game!
Are you talking to Mike anytime soon?

MemberIf it helps at all, I’m working on a Quick Reference Sheet that will include all the maneuvers, firing arcs, and the relevant tables. I’m hoping to have it finished before our next game in early January. I’ll upload it to this site when it’s complete.

MemberI was wondering as well. I know on the old DP site, many moons ago, there were some new charts and such that went with the additional aircraft. But that most of that disappeared.
Has it been re-created, or something, and who’s butt do I need to kiss to get it.

InactiveI do have some scanned charts that Mike and others have given me. The thing I struggle with is that I am not sure if they are the latest official ones or not. I suppose I could just upload everything I have and just let people tell me – “No, this is old don’t use it” or “Hey, I made that – please remove it!”

MemberIf it’s not too late, contact me directly and tell me exactly what you’re looking for and what you have in mind. I can grant permission for the use of certain charts if I have a better idea of your plans.
Pardon my long delay in responding.

InactiveThat sounds good. I will put together a list of what I have available and maybe you can just put a yes or no after each. I will try and have that up by Monday night, busy weekend on the home front.
Thanks!

MemberO.k., any help would be appriecated and accepted.
Might be a good idea to put together a PDF demo al la what Mark Walker over at Lock N Load does.
Demo could simply consist of:
a)Condensed quick-play rules developed around demo scenario.
b)A demo scenario.
c)Counters related to demo.
d) 8″x 11″ grid sheet.
e)Charts related to demo. The demo could be posted on this site or on BBG to introduce people to the game.
FYI- I am on the Minneapolis FiTS Group e-mail list. I’m pretty busy with work and family but some day do intend to show up at a game day. I know I haven’t played in “forever” and do not have the latest rules or charts- so PLEASE be patient with me if I do attend.
