    There is a Nova program (in my neck of the woods anyway ) about WW 1 aircraft and the war
    Most excellent !! I recommend you take a look if you can.

    It was on here too Dan. I missed it due poor reception on my TV. Got to get that antenna put up! Hopefully I can catch it again.

    Too bad… However, those of with an On Demand feature in yer TV system may be able to dial it up.
    These guys are building WW 1 a/c from original prints. But they get into to trouble when a print calls for a certain part but the sub prints (if that is such a thing!) don’t exist so they don’t know how to make said piece. But they do.
    Then , being modern engineers, they decided to “fix” little things on the a/c that were always wearing out. Only to find they put the whole structure in danger of catastrophic collapse because stress was transferred else where. It turns out the parts were designed to wear out. So that is what they do now as well.
    Fascinating show !!
