Eris Caver
MemberI’ve got three questions, and I can’t figure out anywhere else to put them.
The first is — how do I send a message to another member? I wanted to send a message to dan, as apparently he’s in charge of the group, but when I went to his profile I couldn’t find any way to write to him.
Secondly — How do I figure out who are the people in charge of the group and website? I took an educated guess that dan was in charge, but I’m not sure on that, and so I’m not certain if he’s the right person to contact.
Third — How long does it normally take for memberships to be processed? I sent in my request for a new membership (and check for the fees) to Jim Barber in late April, but I still can’t access Members Only sections of this web site. I would contact Jim directly, but I can’t find him listed in the member’s list.
I’d really like to join the group, but I’m confused, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

ParticipantHey Eris,
Dan is the guy. I will see if I can get ahold of him for you.

InactiveEris,
I am sorry about the fact that your membership has not been activated yet. I depend on Jim Barber to notify me when he receives a payment and occasionally that message is not sent or I miss it in email. I have switched your account to a member account. You should see the member exclusive content now.
I recently published a website update in the Aerodrome listing that one of the upcoming goals for the website is to have a much more fleshed out Account interface. I want to give everyone the ability to manage their subscription entirely online and see when it expires, etc.
I am running into challenges with the normal registration process as we keep getting fake people who then post junk links in the forums or private messages. That is why private messaging is currently disabled. I am working on it though and hope to have a safe private messaging solution working soon too.
Feel free to email me any more questions, using the Members > Contact Admin function on the menu above.
Thanks,
Dan -
