The Spring Minicon Flyer in the recent Aerodrome lists two different numbers for the Best Western Plus Hotel (our new location this year). The first phone number listed on the flyer ((414)563-4000) is incorrect. That is the number from the Holiday Inn hotel that was used the last few years. When the reservation desk answered at first they rattled off the hotel name so fast I did not notice! Once I asked for the special FITS Society Rate though, it was clear I had the wrong hotel because they had no record of a special room rate. I asked, “What is the name of this hotel again?” – and finally I understood what had happened. To make your reservation for the spring Minicon make sure to use this number for the Best Western Plus Hotel: 414-769-2100 x0. Good choice on the new hotel gents, the Aviator Sports Bar and Grille will add a fun new element to our stay.

I had the same issue, but figured it out just the same way you did!
Also note that they gave me a special rate, but not the one on the flyer. They said our special rate was $88 not $81 per night. I didn’t pitch a fit over the $7, but would be interested if others got the lower rate.
