KeymasterBelow are two different alternatives for possible balloon kill rules. Please use this forum topic to express your opinion on these potential alternatives. You can say which one you like and why you like it, what you don’t like about an alternative, you can suggest clarifications/enhancements, or you can even suggest another alternative. We’ll entertain (friendly) discussion of the topic on this thread before we vote at a later date. Please restrict your comments on this thread to this rule — other rules up for debate will get their own threads.
Item C – Balloon Kills
C.1 The player scoring the most hits on a balloon on the turn it goes down receives credits for the kill; players cut if there is a tie for damage inflicted in that turn.
OR
C.2 All players scoring hits on a balloon in the turn it goes down may cut for the kill.

MemberIf we adopt C1, it will be philosophically different from the way other contested kills are decided. That is, anyone who hit an area that caused a plane to go down has a claim. We should stay consistent I think.

If you’ve played at Mike Carr’s house you’ll recognize option one as the way all kills are decided under Mike’s interpretation of the rules.

I can live with either option but would like to add another: C.2a All players scoring hits on a balloon in the turn it goes down may cut for the kill but whoever scored the most hits that turn wins ties.

ParticipantI second Al’s notion C.2a.
And all cuts should be done rolling 12 1d6s

MemberI’m for C2.
That’s how we have always played.

Any method agreeable to all in the cut should be OK.
