ParticipantHi All,
Mike Carr has contacted me about the possibility of another fall Mini Con here in the Twin Cities, and has listed possible dates below that he may be in town. Any thoughts of what may/may not work better this early in the game?? The more responses we get the better, so if anyone knows if any of these days/weekends work better or worse, please let me know! ThanxsOct 3, 10, 31

ParticipantI am getting overwhelming response that NOV works better… so we are going to shoot for the same weekend, November 6th-8th. Look for more details in the upcoming issue of the AERODROME!

ParticipantLocation is not 100% set, but very well may be the same as last year, the Monster Den game store in Minneapolis. If you are looking at locking down a hotel, I would recommend no matter where we play to book in Bloomington near the Mall of America, as that is where the best room rates are available, easy to park, and should be no more than 10 minutes away from the venue we end up at…

MemberHow about a list of some of the hotel/motels near there?

MemberWhat we might want to consider is getting a “convention rate” at one of the nearby hotels. Of course, people will still choose other hotels for amenities or loyalty rewards, but it might save those of us who are frugal an extra $5/night.

ParticipantI tried last year at a few places and the group rates that they offered were not that great. I would highly recommend using either hotwire or orbitz, and just look for hotels near the airport.
Airport, Mall of America are 5-10 minutes away from where we played last year, and you can usually get great rates online for that area as there are a TON of hotels! If anyone has questions at all about the places they find let me know!August 31, 2009 at 8:06 pm #7390George Henion
MemberHow far away is Eagan MN, they have a special where they will give you a $40.00 gas card with a 2 night hotel stay?

ParticipantWe are locked in & set for the mini-con, it will be Nov 6-8 at the same location as last year, the Monster Den game store in S. Minneapolis. Please see the ‘EVENT REGISTRATION’ section under the ‘COMMUNITY’ tab for more information and to sign up! Cost for the event will depend on the number of attendees, but should end up only being around $10 for the whole weekend.
Any questions you have regarding the event, please post here.
