I am looking to run a game, standard rules, BUT it will be an ON THE CLOCK game, so please read following rules before signing up!
There will be a time limit on moves for this game, in the interest of trying a ‘fast’ email game. Once it has been declared that it is ‘your turn’, each player will have 2 days (48 hours) to complete their move. IF it is not completed in this timeframe the moderator (myself) will perform a 7 straight move with no gain or loss of altitude and declare their move done and the clock will start for the next person in turn order. I will be sending 24 hr warning notice emails as well, to make sure players know it is in fact their turn.
Exceptions- Obvously summer is tough with vacations, travel & such, so at the beginning of each turn, players will be able to declare the possibility that they will not be able to finish their move it if comes up . This, and other obviously extreme circumstances will be taken into account and allowed.
The idea is to see how a ‘clock’ works as far as keeping an e-game going. It seems like the last few games have stalled out for no apparent reason, so this will be a test to see if does /does not improve the e-game format….

You are more than welcome to join us! You will be flying in on turn #2 on the Allied Side, which is starting today. I will send you an email with all the specifics.
A few questions- are you familiar with VASSAL Dawn Patrol, and do you have the 1.2 module downloaded? Are you familiar with the logfile system and how to load one, walk through it, then start your own? If not it may be helpful to ‘meet’ Dan or myself online to go through a tutorial.
Also note, we are experimenting a bit with this email game and there is a time limit on moves. I will send specifics in the email, but basically players have 2 days to complete their move when their turn comes.

~API downloaded the 1.2 module and finally figured out how to open the logfile for turn one. It might still be useful to go through a tutorial with you as I’m not 100% sure of how to start my own. Let me know when a good time for this would be. Let me know with an email so we can meet soon. Thanks again for letting me join the game!
