Dawn Patrol Mini-Con
November 7,8,9 2008 Minneapolis, MN
Celebrating the 90th Anniversary of Armistice Day and the 31st Annual
MN Armistice Weekend Fight in the Skies / Dawn Patrol EventLocation T.B.D.
The theme will be a prize tournament, either total points or wingman
tourney. Play will start Friday afternoon, continue all day Saturday.
The main events and prize ceremony will be held Saturday night.
There will be open gaming Sunday for as long as there is enough
interest.More info coming soon!! Please drop a line if you may be interested in attending so we can start to get an idea of how many may show up… there will hopefully be an official registration of some sort coming soon…
The event is being planned around the fact that Mike Carr & a few other out-of-town players will be in MN for the weekend.

I just spoke to my wife and talked to her about us all going up to stay with her sister in Stacy MN that weekend. It should not be a problem unless her sister has something going on which is unlikely this far in advance. Thanks for the invite, I am probably in! :woohoo:
I’m getting started on the venue this week – ideally would like to get a place near the airport on the main highway drag, depending on prices . Hopefully will have something locked down in the next week or two, and will post details then.
Time is flying (pun intended) and I not only have to get lodging but also time off from work (which I don’t intend to do until I have lodging).
I am close to wrapping up a deal with a local game store to use their facility for much less than hotels are offering meeting room space. The store is 5-10min. from the Mall of America, that being said, there about 15-20 hotels in that immediate area, so depending on what type of accomdation you would like, you can get a 2 star for about $40 a night, or a 4 star for $70-90. The store is on Cedar and 41st Ave in Minneapolis, MOA is on 70th & Cedar, so anything around 494 & Cedar – MOA & Airport should be fine. If anyone wants more specific assistance in locating a place, please let me know and I will be happy to help!!
