I noticed the instructions for getting VASSAL setup seem to be gone from the site. I put a new / old set of instructions out in the downloads area for anyone interested in learning how to get VASSAL setup. We play regularly on Sunday and Monday evenings and would love to have anyone join in!!

Are the VASSAL instructions on this site still up to date?

    Thanks,
    Graham

I think so, only thing is you need version 1.4 of the module, which is not available out on their site. If Mark did not send it to you already let me know, and I can email it to you!

I have added version 1.4 to the Downloads > VDP > non-members section of this website, so all should have access now!

    Hi Andy,

I think I have things downloaded and launched correctly. But I get to the “server” window and don’t know what to do next. There is also a “dawn patrol controls” window open. Looks like a chat window. Am I just early and no one else is on yet, or am I doing something incorrectly.

Oh, there is a Vassal window too. I used that to launch Dawn Patrol Module 1.4, which I believe opened the other two windows.

you are in the right place, just no one online yet! Should be on in 1/2 hour or so…

Ok, thanks. I was hoping to get on early and find out how things work. But I don’t even know how to start a game, and there is none to join. I’ll be back closer to 8pm eastern (20 min)

Thanks for your help yesterday Andy. Wouldn’t have gotten on at all without you. I the system is a bit more stable the next time I try. It got to be too much to keep logging off and on over and over again.
