I’m wondering who is planning to attend the WWI air show in Dayton on September 27/28, and where you’re planning on staying. I think I will try to make it there. Please let me know. Thanks.
After confirming with Mike Carr, I’ve booked at the Hope Hotel and Conference Center. That’s the hotel listed on the Aerodrome insert, and it is the hotel endorsed for the League of WWI Aviation Historians. There is a special group rate of $89 per night for a room with two double beds or one queen bed. Apparently it is right at the Air Force museum, according to the person who took my reservation.
I’m planning to fly in on Friday morning and out on Sunday evening. I plan to contact the hotel to see if we can get a room to play Dawn Patrol on Friday and Saturday evenings, after the air show is over each day.
Should have posted the hotel number for those who aren’t FITS Society Members … 937-879-2696. Mention the League of WWI Aviation Historians for the group rate.
