KeymasterHey George. I don’t see the attachment – is it just me?
My son and I will be there this year, as you know. See you there! Many thanks, as always, for coordinating.

MemberI asked the webmaster why the attachment didn’t transfer over, but no answer yet. If you got your aerodrome, it was in there.

MemberMy wife Janie and I played in six sessions. Our first mission Thursday morning was called All fives. The planes were either DH5’s SE5’s or Albatros D5’s. I had a SE5, Janie had an Albatros D5 and Graham had a DH5, i believe. Anyway Janie shot Graham up pretty good on turn 1 or 2 causing him to play cautiously, On the last turn of the game he got his revenge and shot Janie down.
My plane was not near their action, but my SE5 pilot hit Al Christensen and shot him down.
Graham can correct anything I got wrong, but that’s the gist of it.
I add some other scenario reports later or what I can remember. I picked this one first because it had Graham in it.August 22, 2014 at 3:59 pm #8188Chuckmedic
KeymasterI think the “All Fives” mission was Friday morning, with Blake judging. I was in an SE5, and took twenty hits in the first couple of turns, most of them from Janie (16). That included two crits, one of which shot the drum out of my Lewis gun. I flew off and took two turns to fix that, then had a chance to get on Janie’s tail. She was shot up by then. I shot at her for four turns, hitting three times, and on the last turn of the game I put in 7 hfs that shot off both of her wings!
Unfortunately that was my only good mission….

KeymasterI played in four games oversee days. Rick Lacy gave me a light wound in the first game, and my pilot died in the hospital after a successful landing behind the lines. I shot down Janie Fritz in game two. In game three, The World’s Largest Dawn Patrol, Rick took me head on on turn two. That was ok, as we both missed the 150′ shots. But George Henion’s observer didn’t miss – he shot my pilot dead on that same turn, right before Rick and Lynn Held collided.
On game four I flew an Alb D.iii in Aug 1918. No typos there! The French had Breguets and SPAD XIIIs. I jammed both guns long on turn three, and flew for 6 turns before I got one back. That gave me time for one shot with one gun on the last turn of the game, but I didn’t bring my target down.
Not a very glory-filled weekend, I’m afraid.
