My group is experimenting with new CW rules. I am wondeirng how long someone should stay out after a critical wound? I know there is a roll for permanent retirement if they surivive but see nothing anywhere on what happens if the critical wound recepient lives (specifially how long ebfore they come bakc into combat).
If anyone is interested I will post the new CW rules created by Max from our gaming group. It actually includes wound location etc.

If you’re running a campaign this might be useful but in normal play where the month is determined randomly it ain’t possible. If you’re wounded in Jan ’18 and have to stay out 2 months, but your pilot’s first mission was in Feb ’18 you can’t retroactively make it right.

As Joseki said, other groups have experimented with this before. I see no point in it, unless you’re also going to add rules for differrent effects for different locations. If you did that it would, for me, add an unnecessary and uninteresting level of complexity.
