We had 7 players on hand this evening for a bloody 1918 battle. June 1918 over the Western Front, a patrol of British Sopwith Camel 110s (Scott K, Jim B, Carl F, John B) was able to surprise a German patrol (Stephen S, Ken S in Fokker DVII 200s and Andy in an Albatros DVa). The Germans were outclassed from the start in this one, and the British were able to capitalize.
A few turns into the twisting battle, John B dished out a light wound to Andy’s pilot, and Carl caused Ken’s engine to start smoking. Andy and Stephen were able to gain initiative the next turn and make for home, but Carl was able to get one last shot in on Ken, which knocked his engine out.
Both Ken and Andy made it back to their lines and were able to land on a road. Ken walked away from his bullet riddled machine that had just endured four criticals. After putting his machine down, Andy’s pilot tripped and fell on his head getting out of the cockpit. Dead instantly. Gustav Martz will go down on the list of Mike Carr issued pilots with a short and not so illustrious career…

Sorry to hear of your pilot Andy. :( Things did not look good for the Bosch from the outset. It was a fun game! Thanks for the write up.
