KeymasterHi everyone,
Carl Priest organized a game night on Saturday, and we had five players.
Game one was in 1917 on the Italian front. Two Austro Hungarians (Scott and Graham) were supposed to intercept an Italian two-seater (John
with two N.17 escorts (two Carls – Priest and Fritz). It was quick and bloody. The N.17s sandwiched Scott on turn 2, and combined to hit his pilot three times! The result was a critical wound, but Scott didn’t make it down alive. Graham rolled good initiative and immediately escaped. Carl Fritz won the cut for the kill.Game two was much longer. Three Pups (Graham, John and Scott) faced off against an Alb D.II (CF) and a Roland D.IIa (CP). The Pups must have been pit bulls — they mauled the Germans! Scott was on fire, shooting frequently, seldom missing, and rolling max damage most of the time. He shot up both Germans. Graham was tailing Carl Fritz for much of the game, but he was missing and rolling low damage. That only prolonged, not saved, CF’s pilot’s life. Eventually John B swooped in and finished CF off, shooting off his wing, and killing the pilot in the wreck. CP had come back from a near-escape to try to rescue CF, but it didn’t help, and almost cost CP his life as well. He did manage to get away and survive. At one point, trying to lose Graham, CFintentionally took a maneuver that threw him out of control. That might normally be a little brave — but in this case, with all his criticals, it resulted in about an 800′ overdive!! He miraculously held his plane together, but it only kept him alive for a few more turns.
